I love to explore areas and objects that most people would consider eyesores. I find all kinds of fascinating details in junkyards, abandoned buildings, and industrial parks.
This image was created in the remnants of a burnt-down machine shop on the rural eastern shore of Maryland. The ravages of fire, time, and oxidation have turned some pieces of scrap metal into a colorful celebration of shape and shadow.
